Placement Exams

Placement exams are designed to assess a student's current knowledge and skills to place them in the appropriate level of coursework. The main purposes of these exams are to ensure that students are enrolled in classes that match their academic readiness, improve their chances of success by starting at the right level, and help institutions tailor instruction to better meet students' needs. These exams help to avoid placing students in courses that are too advanced or too basic for their abilities.

This test is administered specifically for admitted students to assist them in achieving the scores required for scholarships and program admission at JAX State. It is important to note that On-Campus ACT scores are exclusively for use at JAX State and cannot be sent to other institutions or organizations, such as the NCAA.

Please visit the On-Campus ACT page to get more information on On-Campus ACT testing.
