The Gamecock Standard for Meehan

• Eligibility: Co-ed Upper-Class students; please note the third and fourth floors include a specific bed allotment for incoming athletes. Roommates must be mutually requested, or they will be booked by HRL.

• Location: Stadium District.

• Bathrooms: Two private bathrooms per unit; self-maintained by residents to encourage personal accountability.

• Amenities: Free-use laundry facilities located on the first floor; high-speed Wi-Fi.

• Shared Common Area (4-Bedroom Units): Furnished with a sofa, chair, end table, entertainment stand, and a two-person dinette set. A refrigerator is provided for each unit; additional micro-fridge units are strictly prohibited within individual bedrooms.

• Four-Bedroom Pod Unit (A, B, C Rooms): L-shaped floor plan located on the front side of the building. Private bedroom features one adjustable Twin XL loft bed, chest of drawers, study desk, and desk chair.

  • Rate: $3,150/semester

• Four-Bedroom Pod Unit (D Room): One smaller private bedroom located within each Pod unit, offered at a reduced cost. Features one adjustable Twin XL loft bed, chest of drawers, study desk, and desk chair.

• Four-Bedroom Concourse Unit: T-shaped floor plan located on the back side underneath the stadium. Private bedroom features one Full XL bed, chest of drawers, study desk, and desk chair.

Note: Sparkman Hall will no longer be available as a housing option after spring 2026. 

Sparkman Hall sets itself apart by providing students with the opportunity to learn from a diverse student population. This nine-story, co-ed residence hall is located on Trustee Circle between Ayers and Mason Hall.

Two-person suites are offered on the first eight floors, and one-person suites are offered on the ninth floor. Two-person suites are comprised of two separate rooms joined by a shared bathroom. One-person suites are comprised of a private bedroom and bathroom. Residents can enjoy the quite study rooms or hang in the lounges.

The Gamecock Market can be found in the basement of Sparkman Hall and is open to all Jax State students. To learn more, email gamecockmarket@jsu.edu. 

Residents must have lived on campus for at least one semester or be a transfer student.

Laundry: Free-use machines located on the second floor with LaundryView.

Bathrooms: One private bathroom per suite, self-maintained.

• Contract Type: 9-Month Academic Lease. Residents must vacate in May unless a separate summer contract is secured.

• Location: Western gateway of campus near JAX State athletic facilities.

• Bathrooms: Shared en-suite bathroom located within the unit; self-maintained by residents to encourage personal accountability (Note: Studio layouts feature a private en-suite bathroom).

• Amenities: Free-use building laundry facility; high-speed Wi-Fi; modern study spaces; and community gathering areas.

• Kitchenette & Appliances: Units feature a kitchenette with a provided full-size refrigerator. Traditional stoves and personal micro-fridges are strictly prohibited.
