North Village FAQs

North Village is available to first-year students/first-time freshmen. Students will need to submit the New Freshman Application and pay the $200 nonrefundable application fee to be eligible.

Costs for fall 2024-spring 2025 are $3300 per person per semester. The lease is for nine months, lasting the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters. Summer housing is not available at North Village.

Yes, meal plans are required for students living in North Village. More information about specific meal plans can be found online at Campus Dining Services.

No, North Village only offers the four-person suites and a limited number of two-person ADA accessible units.

Yes, there are two elevators located on the B-wing of the residence hall.

North Village consists of three wings, A, B, and C. A wing is adjacent to Crow Hall. B wing is behind Sparkman Hall. C wing is closest to Logan and Ayers Halls. The odd numbered rooms are located on the interior with the lowest numbers beginning on A wing. The even numbered rooms are located on the exterior with the lowest numbers beginning on A wing.

The first floor of North Village contains the common areas for residents to enjoy and build community. There is a Convenience Store/Vending Area sponsored by Coca-Cola, media room, multipurpose area with televisions and seating areas, study room, and laundry room all conveniently located on the first floor. The ample outdoor green space is sure to be a popular area for students to gather. Study rooms and study nooks are also located on each floor.

Each room contains two-twin extra long mattresses and frames, two desks, two chairs, two dressers and two built-closets.

Students may bring two refrigerators, 4.6 cubic feet or less per suite. This means that residents may have one refrigerator in each room. One microwave of 700 watts or less is allowed per suite. Please communicate with your roommates to determine who is responsible for these appliances as you will be asked to remove any appliances over this allotment.

Each room has six outlets and there are an additional five outlets in the bathroom/common area of the suite. The outlets at the headboard have USB connections.

Yes, but Command Strips are not allowed. Small nails or tacks as well as putty are allowed. LED lights may not be adhered to walls. Hercules or Gorilla hooks are also acceptable.

No, shower curtains are not provided by Jax State Housing and Residence Life. Students will need to bring their own. The standard shower size in North Village is 6’ 9” tall x 4’ wide. Shower curtains need to be 84 inches long.

The beds in North Village are not loftable, but are fully adjustable to allow up to 30 inches of storage underneath the frame.
