Campus Alert Systems

How will I be notified during Severe Weather and Other Campus Emergencies?

The following methods may be used to notify the campus community of various emergencies that may impact students, staff, and faculty on the Jacksonville State University campus.

Emergency Alert

A free mass notification system that's capable of sending out messages through text, Twitter, e-mail, and phone call.

  • Students and faculty automatically receive these alerts after enrollment.
  • The caller ID from the emergency alert is 256-782-5440. Save this number so you will know it's JSU's Emergency Alert System notifying you.
  • E-mails will also be sent out that provide more details about the severe weather.
