Fall 2025 International Application Deposit
The International Application Deposit (IAD) of $200 is made after an international F-1 student has been admitted and before the I-20 is processed. The IAD is deposited for the term into which the student has been admitted. This deposit will be credited to the student’s account after completing three semesters at JSU. For example, a deposit made for Fall 2025 will be returned to the student in the Spring 2027 semester.
Note: Only pay on the tab titled Fall 25 International Deposits, 200 dollar amount. If you choose the incorrect semester, then we will not be able to process the I-20. F-1 Students who pay into the incorrect term will NOT be refunded and will have to make an additional payment to ensure their deposit is properly paid.

- Log onto MyJaxState
- Click on View Account/Make Payment
- Choose International Deposits at the top of the page
- Choose Fall 25 International App Deposit-$200 from the drop-down menu, then click select .
- Follow the prompts to complete payment

You can defer up to two times and pay the application deposit only one time. After deferring the third time, you will need to pay the application deposit again.

Yes. Our office can only see payments made into the application deposit. So, payments made into the student accounts tab will not alert us to process the I-20. Please note if you pay the initial 200 dollars in your student account, it will be a credit on your tuition. There is no refund or transfer of money.
No. The IAD only applies to students being issued an F-1 visa I-20.
