Specific goals
For your online consultation, you will meet via the Office 365 Teams app with a Writing Center consultant during a scheduled time and work on student-identified goals and weaknesses.
Requirements are:
- Quiet meeting spot.
- Microphone and camera on.
- Be able to share screen or attach files.
- As this is a video consultation, students and anyone who might appear in the video must be fully clothed.
- Students will need to understand the purpose of Writing Center consultations, which can be found on the Writing Center About page.
- Students will need to have the required materials (see above) for an online consultation to be possible.
- Students need to be on time for scheduled appointments. If a student is late to an appointment, extra time cannot be extended. The appointment will end at the originally scheduled time.
- If a student cancels their appointment three times within a month, their next consultation must be through a drop-in.
- If a student no-shows (does not cancel their appointment through Navigate and does not show up to their meeting) three times within a semester, they can only meet through drop-ins for the following month.
- Consultants have the right to cancel an appointment for any student behavior deemed unacceptable.
