Margaret Bragg JSU Foundation Scholarship
Established in honor of Mrs. Margaret Bragg by her son, Rick Bragg, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, the Margaret Bragg Scholarship is for a full-time undergraduate student who is a graduate of any high school in Calhoun County, Alabama and who is majoring in English or minoring in one of the programs housed in the English Department.

Calvert JSU Foundation Scholarship
Named after a former head of the English Department, the Calvert Scholarship is for a full-time sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in English or minoring in one of the programs housed in the English Department with at least a 3.25 in the major or minor. They must demonstrate overall academic achievement, excellence in English classes, and ability in scholarly writing.

Randy Owen JSU Foundation Scholarship
The Randy Owen Scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students majoring in English who demonstrate academic achievement. They must be Alabama residents with a minimum 3.5 overall GPA and 3.5 in English.

Writing Center Scholarship
The Writing Center Scholarship is open to graduate students in the Master of Arts in English degree program or to undergraduate students majoring in English or minoring in one of the programs housed in the English Department, who demonstrate academic excellence, advanced writing skills, and the ability to serve as a Writing Center Consultant.
