The tuition and book fee for these J-STEAM courses are covered by a grant-funded scholarship that makes them FREE for our Dual Enrollment students. No scholarship application is required at this time. Scholarship funding for J-STEAM courses will be awarded on a first-come basis. Students who register for a J-STEAM course will automatically be awarded the scholarship. Once course capacity is reached, the scholarship awarding for these courses will close for the semester.
Gateway Courses are designed for Dual Enrollment students who have completed most of their high school graduation requirements (juniors and seniors) and are interested in taking a class in one of JSU’s academic majors. Get started exploring your major at Jax State, meet your future faculty, and build relationships with fellow students in your program!

From time to time, you may receive a text message, email, or phone call with reminders about important dates, etc. You may also receive an academic alert text if you are struggling in a class. Our student success coach will then connect you with resources to help you succeed. Progress campaigns will be sent out to guidance counselors throughout the semester.
