Hi there! My name is Mallory Bunkley, and I’m so excited to be part of the Jacksonville State University Admissions Team and serving students from West and Southwest, Alabama as well as Florida and parts of Mississippi!

Originally from Brandon, Mississippi, I began my college journey at Hinds Community College, where I earned my associate’s degree in psychology. I continued my education at The University of Southern Mississippi and earned my degree in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Sports Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management. As a lifelong dancer, I’m proud to be an alumna of the nationally recognized Hinds Hi-Steppers and the Southern Miss Dixie Darlings—I loved every minute of it!

I moved to Jacksonville, Alabama, about a year ago and quickly fell in love with this charming, college town! My boyfriend and I have a 9-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer named Rook who definitely keeps us on our toes! In my free time, you’ll find me hanging out with my pup, out on the water, binge-watching my favorite shows, or exploring new cities.

As an Admissions Counselor, I’m passionate about helping students find their path and gain confidence as they take the next step in their educational journey. College is a challenge, but it’s also an exciting time of academic and personal growth and opportunity. I’m here to help make that transition smooth and positive!
