Teaching the Next Shakespeare
Shakespeare students from the English Department and acting students the Theatre Department are training to become teachers and teaching artists, and if you are interested in having these students, led by Dr. Michael Boynton, come to your classroom, email mboynton@jsu.edu. These workshops bring the page to the stage and work students through the "actor's approach," while expanding their reading skills through various activities. First come first served: sign up early so that we can put you on our schedules. Please keep in mind, in January these college students have just begun their semester, so March or April are more ideal. Let us know the work you are covering and where and when your class meets.
Teaching Shakespeare
Dates for Teaching Shakespeare are coming soon… We partner with organizations within the Shakespeare Theatre Association to bring their professional development to Jacksonville State. These workshops for professional development are completely FREE thanks to sponsors. If you or any of your co-workers are interested, please email times that are best for you to elduncan@jsu.edu.
