Main stage production
Each year, our production season is chosen to provide experiences tailored to challenge and cultivate the growth of our students as artists. Over four years our seasons are a mixture of classical and period pieces, contemporary shows, and approaches to design and production. You can graduate with a wealth of experience gained over your time here. Our high expectations and professional training in the production process will help prepare you for whatever path you choose as your career.
Our small class sizes, close knit community, and dedicated faculty will give you the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed as a theatre artist. We also offer masterclasses and workshops to develop new skills, and opportunities to design, build, and manage JSU productions. Our annual Alph Psi Omega production is a fully student designed and directed TYA production.
You will also have the opportunity to travel through study abroad and study away programs. Recent courses included trips to New York and London. These trips provide opportunity to learn about other cultures, experience theatre in a variety of settings, and take workshops to enhance your knowledge of theatre.
