Jennifer Mead

Jennifer has over seventeen years of experience working with government contracts and grants.

As the Coordinator in the Office of Sponsored Programs, she assists project directors with post-award programmatic functions of their sponsored projects, including communication with funders and program officers, budget reallocations, and general grant administration. Jennifer enjoys learning about the research interests of faculty across campus and finding projects to help students achieve their educational goals.

Prior to joining the Office of Sponsored Programs in 2020, Jennifer worked for six years with the Collaborative Regional Education (CORE) Project at JSU, where she was the Conference Coordinator. In that role, she planned professional development activities for educators while building relationships with CORE partners, which included K-12 partners, regional university partners, and private vendors. Before joining JSU in 2014, Jennifer worked as a contractor for the US Department of Homeland Security where she managed an outreach program and traveled throughout the country recruiting first responders for training. Jennifer is a two-time graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing (2004) and a Master of Public Administration (2017).
