Plans FAQ
Plans is a coursework planning tool in Degree Works. Using the Plans, your advisor can create a plan of courses/tests that you will take each semester to meet your degree requirements.
Your plan consists of several semesters. In those semesters, courses are added that you intend to take. For example: three courses were added in your Fall 2022 semester plan.
- If you take and successfully complete all three planned courses in a Fall 2022 semester, then all those courses will be labeled “ON-TRACK” and your Fall 2022 plan would be “ON-TRACK” as well.
- If you take and successfully complete only two planned courses or do not take any planned courses in a Fall 2022 semester, then those courses that you did not take/complete will be labeled “WARNING” and your Fall 2022 semester would be “OFF-TRACK”.
- If any two semesters are labeled as “OFF-TRACK”, your entire plan will be labeled as “OFF-TRACK”.
No. Plans is only a guide to take courses. You will register for those courses using MyJaxState registration.
It depends on the course schedule for that specific semester/term. If you discover that a course you planned for is not offered, you may wish to take an alternate course or plan that course for a future semester/term in consultation of your advisor.
