Disposing of Unwanted Equipment
From printers to pianos, the items you use every day to perform your job at JSU are property of the State of Alabama, and as such are restricted in how they may be disposed of when no longer needed.
All discarded property must be processed through the Director of Procurement & Fixed Assets. This includes capitalized (over $5,000.00) and non-capitalized items. Any equipment (capital or non-capital) that is no longer needed by a department or is no longer in working condition must be turned into the Warehouse Manager. Departments nor individuals are authorized to dispose of equipment.
