  • AI Detection:
    • Due to concerns about reliability, Online@JSU is currently evaluating the AI detection portion of Turnitin. A decision will be made after the Fall 2023 semester as to whether this feature will continue to be available.
    • AI detection is included in the similarity report. However, instructors should not rely upon the AI detection score to make judgments about student work. Faculty should instead rely upon their professional judgment to determine whether student work is their work or that of AI.
    • The Similarity Score and the AI detection score are independent of one another. The AI score does not in any way influence the similarity score.
