Dr. Ashlie B. Barnes is an Assistant Professor at Jacksonville State University. She earned all degrees from Jacksonville State University: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2009), Master of Science in Nursing: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (2020), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (2021). She currently teaches courses within the Doctor of Nursing Practice program and the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. With fifteen years of professional nursing practice, she has extensive experience within in-patient, critical care settings. Currently, Dr. Barnes maintains faculty practice within an acute care intensivist setting. She holds board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Alabama.
