Jacksonville State University Receives 2025 Campus Prevention Network Seal of Prevention™ for Commitment to Student Wellness and Safety
10/20/2025

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — Jacksonville State University has earned the 2025 Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention, a national honor presented by Vector Solutions that recognizes institutions demonstrating exceptional leadership in student safety, wellness, and well-being.
The CPN Seal of Prevention recognizes colleges and universities that take measurable action to create safer campus communities through comprehensive, evidence-based digital education on issues such as sexual assault prevention, alcohol and drug misuse, and mental health awareness. Honorees represent institutions that make prevention central to student success, campus climate, and retention outcomes.
At Jax State, this distinction reflects the university’s holistic approach to student wellness—one that prioritizes safety, belonging, and education at every level of campus life. Through engaging, research-based programming coordinated by Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, the university equips every Gamecock with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed choices, support one another, and uphold a culture of respect.
Dr. Joshua Robinson, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students at Jax State, said the recognition affirms the university’s commitment to fostering a caring and inclusive environment. “We are proud to receive the CPN Seal of Prevention, which affirms our ongoing commitment to creating a campus where every student feels valued, supported, and safe,” Dr. Robinson said. “This distinction recognizes the daily efforts of our staff, faculty, and students who work together to strengthen the well-being of the entire Gamecock Family.”
Vector Solutions CEO Jonathan Cherins said the institutions receiving the CPN Seal represent the best in higher education’s ongoing commitment to student well-being. He noted that each recipient demonstrates a deep dedication to prevention education as an essential part of student success. “The CPN Seal of Prevention recipients represent the top institutions nationwide, underscoring their commitment to academic excellence and the well-being of their students,” Cherins said. “Our team at Vector Solutions is proud to recognize the great value these leading institutions are providing and the commitment we share to making higher-education communities safer and stronger.”
The CPN Seal of Prevention is grounded in the Principles of Effective Prevention Programs (Nation et al., 2003). Over 1,400 campuses and organizations were evaluated to determine eligibility for the 2025 Seal. On average, Seal institutions achieve an 8.3 percent higher first-year retention rate and a 9.6 percent higher on-time graduation rate than non-Seal institutions.
