The event is hosted by the British Consulate-General of Atlanta and will provide students with insights into how to apply for the British Government-funded scholarship, which supports up to 50 high-achieving American undergraduates each year in pursuing fully funded graduate study at any university in the United Kingdom. The scholarship is open to all academic disciplines.

The session will feature guest speakers from the British Consulate-General in Atlanta, including:

  • Sydnie Hammond, Press & Public Affairs Officer, a dual citizen who earned her degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Georgia State University and brings a background in marketing and event planning.
  • Eliza Sims, Global Issues Officer, who studied and worked in the UK for over six years. She holds degrees from Richmond, the American International University of London, and the University of London, SOAS, and has experience working in international education and policy.

Pizza and drinks will be provided, and while the session is geared toward juniors and seniors, all students are welcome to attend.

Please RSVP using this link.

This event is part of JaxMIX, the university's Microcredential Event Series, and is a valuable opportunity for students seeking global academic experiences to learn directly from UK officials and past scholars.
