Jax State to be Closed for Normal Operations on Friday, January 10, 2025

Due to the National Weather Service's forecast for potential winter weather impacts, Jacksonville State University will be closed for normal operations on Friday, January 10, 2025.

No classes will meet on campus. Any changes to the course calendar or assignment due dates as a result of the cancellation will be communicated by faculty.
Essential employees will be notified by their supervisor as to work expectations.
Nonexempt staff can use the "Campus Closure (CLO)" payroll code to account for missed hours. The payroll cutoff date is this Sunday, January 12, 2025.
On-campus dining will be limited to the Dining Hall. Hours of operation can be found on the JSU Dining Services website.
Houston Cole Library will be closed Friday through Saturday and will reopen with normal hours of operation on Sunday.
UREC will remain open. Please check the UREC website and social media for updates.
The University Police Department is always available to provide assistance by calling 256-782-5050 or by using Cocky Watch.
