Open House and Ribbon Cutting for Ramona Wood Hall: New Home for Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation

Jacksonville State University invites the public to celebrate the dedication of Ramona Wood Hall as the new home of the Department of Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 9, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with the dedication ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m. at the main entrance on the Quad. A tailgate will follow until 6:00 p.m. before Jacksonville State’s football game against New Mexico State at 6:30 p.m. 

Guests are welcome to enjoy refreshments and explore the building’s new state-of-the-art learning environments, including the H. Dean Buttram, Jr. Lecture Hall, a mock courtroom, and a mock crime scene house. Attendees will also learn about the upcoming digital forensics and cadaver labs, designed to enhance the department’s academic offerings.

This open house and dedication ceremony celebrate Jax State’s commitment to excellence in criminal justice and forensic education. Faculty and staff will be on hand to provide tours and share more about the department’s vision and the cutting-edge resources available to students.
