Niko Moon to Headline Aug. 22 Spirit on Mountain Street

Spirit on Mountain Street will return on August 22, so get ready for a night of delicious food, fun activities, and country music from Niko Moon at Jacksonville's largest outdoor festival. The Jacksonville State Student Government Association invites the community to join them on Mountain Street, next to Jax State's AmFirst Stadium, for an evening of family-friendly fun to kick off the new school year.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with Taste of the Town, a taster's fair featuring area restaurants offering samples of their most popular menu items in exchange for $1 tickets. There will also be a free Kids Zone and a vendor area. Admission is free for everyone.
At 8:30 p.m., country artist Niko Moon will close the night with a free concert in the stadium parking lot. Known for his feel-good, positive vibes and tunes, Moon's first single, "Good Time," topped country radio charts, and his other hits continue to climb. As a SESAC Country Songwriter of the Year, Moon has penned eight #1 songs and over 40 major record label cuts for artists like Morgan Wallen, Avicii, Dierks Bentley, Pitbull, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, and more. He is also the founder of the "Happy Cowboy Foundation," a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Now in its 18th year, Spirit on Mountain Street is co-hosted by Jax State, Aligned Insurance, and the City of Jacksonville to bring the community together at the start of the school year. It has grown into the city's largest outdoor festival, with all proceeds benefiting the Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center, a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to local families in need.
