On July 9, an estimated 30 students from the summer graduating class of 2024 gathered at the University Recreation Center to say, "Cheers!" at the annual Graduation Toast. This cherished tradition dates back to 2020 and offers upcoming graduates a moment to celebrate their past achievements and future endeavors.

Dr. Alan Medders, Vice President for Philanthropy, delivered this year's toast. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Dr. Medders remarked, "On behalf of President Killingsworth, I would like to say congratulations on achieving this wonderful academic milestone, whether it is your bachelor's or graduate degree. I know your family and friends are very proud of this accomplishment. We wish you all the best in the next phase of your personal and professional life and hope you will stay engaged with your alma mater."

Notably, the event was graced by the presence of representatives from the graduate school, the Registrar's Office, and the Alumni Engagement office. Their presence was a testament to the strong support system available to our graduates, as they were on hand to provide guidance and answer any questions the graduates had.

The 2024 Summer Commencement Ceremonies will occur on Friday, Aug. 2, at Pete Mathews Coliseum. The 10 a.m. ceremony will honor the College of Education and Professional Studies and the College of Health Professions and Wellness, followed by a 2 p.m. ceremony for the College of Arts, Humanities and Sciences, the College of Business and Industry and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
