Arbor Day Ceremony on Feb. 16

JSU will celebreate Arbor Day with a tree planting ceremony on Feb. 16, 3:30 p.m., on the east lawn of Meehan Hall. A Nuttall Oak will be planted and there will be remarks by Dr. Ashok Roy, vice president for finance and administration, and Jerry Parris, Jacksonville City Council.

The winner of a design contest organized by Christian Dunn, JSU graphic design professor, will also be recognized during the event. The program will conclude with JSU and city representatives applying one last scoop of soil to complete the planting of the tree. Everyone is invited to attend.
