NSSE's Coming for JSU Freshmen and Seniors
02/05/2015
Once again, JSU is participating in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) this semester. The NSSE project, overseen by Indiana University’s Center for Postsecondary Research, is designed to focus on what matters most to students.
Next week selected freshmen and seniors will receive an invitation to participate, along with instructions for accessing the NSSE survey online.
The survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete. Questions focus on how and where students spend their time, the nature and quality of their interactions with faculty members and peers, and what they have gained from their classes and other aspects of their college experience. The information will help decision-makers at JSU improve curriculum, as well as offer a better campus life experience. Results of the survey will also allow comparison of teaching and learning effectiveness at JSU with national benchmarks for similar institutions.
