J-STEAM Dual Enrollment Scholarship
- Sponsored by a grant, the J-STEAM scholarship covers tuition and book fees for program approved courses. No scholarship application is required at this time. Scholarship funding for J-STEAM courses will be awarded on a first-come basis. Students who register for a J-STEAM course will automatically be awarded scholarship. Once course capacity is reached, the scholarship awarding for these courses will close for the semester.
- Courses available for Spring 2026 will include:
- ED 104: Teaching for the Future: STEAM in K-12 Education (online course)
- ART 130: Creative Thinking (online course)
- GY 208/ GY209: Intro to Digital Map & GIS (online class and lab)
- MU 146: Collegiate Choir (in-person class at JSU campus)
- AIL 200: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy (online)
Dual Enrollment Student Ambassador Scholarship
The Jax State Dual Enrollment Student Ambassador program is a leadership organization that consists of dual enrollment students from high schools in our service area. These students meet monthly for team building and leadership development as well as assist Jax State with various dual enrollment events in their high school and on Jax State’s campus. We will select up to 30 students each academic year to serve as Dual Enrollment Student Ambassadors through an application process. Student Ambassadors will be awarded a scholarship each fall and spring semester for one dual enrollment course. Applications for 2026-2027 DE Ambassadors will open February 2, 2026.
- Students must have successfully completed at least one Jax State DE course in order to be eligible to apply for the DE Student Ambassador Program. Please email dualenrollment@jsu.edu if you have any questions about your eligibility.
- DE Ambassadors receive a tuition scholarship both fall and spring semesters for a 3-credit hour course each.
- Can be used toward tuition for any dual enrollment eligible course.
- Students must complete the online DE Student Ambassador Application. A letter of recommendation, resume, and introduction video are also required for applications to be complete.
- The 2026-2027 Dual Enrollment Student Ambassador scholarship application will be open from February 2, 2026 – April 1, 2026.
