Fee Waiver Information - Future Students

Jax State offers application fee waivers to some eligible students. Please select your student type below to see fee waiver information.

First-Time Freshman

Jax State will accept requests to waive the $35 admissions application fee for first year students who have a financial need. Requests including ACT/CollegeBoard fee waivers, NACAC fee waivers, and letters/emails from a high school administrator or counselor will be accepted. Students may complete an admissions application and select that they will request a fee waiver before submitting their application. Documentation of that request will be added as a supplemental item to complete the application. Documentation may be emailed to transcripts@jsu.edu.

Students applying from Title I schools can have their application fee automatically waived — just select the fee waiver option on your application. You can also request a promo code from your school counselor or your Jax State Admissions Counselor.

First-Time Transfer

Jax State will accept requests to waive the $35 admissions application fee for first year students who have a financial need. Transfer students who send a FAFSA to JSU that has a Pell-eligible estimated family contribution (EFC) or student aid index (SAI) will be considered for a fee waiver. Students may complete an admissions application and select that they will be requesting a fee waiver to submit their application. Documentation of that request will be added as a supplemental item to complete the application. Documentation may be emailed to transcripts@jsu.edu.

Business Partnership Applicants (Undergraduate and Graduate)

Jax State will waive the application fee for students applying through one of our business partnerships. Employment verification is required.

International Applicants (Undergraduate and Graduate)

Jax State will waive the application fee for international students applying through one of our approved recruitment agents. Please contact your agency for your code. Deadlines apply. View fee waiver deadlines.

First-Time Graduate

Domestic students may be eligible for application fee waiver opportunities. Contact the Graduate Admissions Team at graduate@jsu.edu for assistance and additional information.
