Military Transfer Credits
The VA requires all veterans and service members to submit their military transcripts to Jax State for credit evaluation. Jax State may award academic credit for training completed during military service. The university makes military transfer credit decisions based off recommendations from the American Council on Education’s (ACE) Military Guide and campus academic units. Military Transfer Credits at JSU could be in the form of: General Electives, Military Science units, Physical Education units, or Direct Equivalencies.
Veterans and service members must submit their Joint Services Transcript (JST) or Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcripts to the Admissions office. Once the JST or CCAF has been evaluated, each student should consult with their advisor to determine how best to use the awarded academic credit. Use one of the following avenues to send your military transcript to Jax State:
Standard Mail - Undergraduate Admissions 700 Pelham Rd N Jacksonville, AL 36265
E-Transcripts - ugtranscripts@jsu.edu
