Dean of Students

Joshua Robinson is the Dean of Students at Jacksonville State University. Mr. Robinson earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science from JSU. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education Degree in Higher Education Administration. 

Mr. Robinson joined JSU’s staff in 2017 as Assistant Director for Student Life, overseeing Fraternity and Sorority Life. He became the Associate Dean of Students in 2020. As Associate Dean of Students, he continued to advise Fraternity and Sorority Life while also supervising the daily operations of the Dean of Students Office. During his tenure advising Fraternity and Sorority Life, JSU’s fraternity and sorority community received numerous awards and was named the Southeast’s fraternity and sorority community of the year. Mr. Robinson became the Dean of Students in 2021.  

As Dean of Students, Mr. Robinson supports the student experience by advocating for students, encouraging students to get involved, developing programs for students’ personal and professional development, collaborating with student leaders, and ensuring there are opportunities for students to enjoy activities on campus.
