Ed began his career in Respiratory Therapy in 1992. Through his career he has worked in several healthcare facilities throughout the NE Alabama region. He has spent a large portion of his clinical career in leadership roles including his role as Director of Respiratory Services at RMC Anniston prior to joining JSU in 2016. In 2014, Ed proposed the idea of starting a new RT program to key JSU Administrative Leaders to offer a local program to help fill the growing need for more RTs in our area. In 2015, Ed worked as a consultant to help begin the accreditation process and begin to develop the RT program. In 2016, he joined JSU as the new RT Program Director with the BSRT program opening in 2017. In 2024, JSU RT received Continued Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care, demonstrating JSU's continued commitment to developing future RTs for our area.
