Find Your JSU ID Number

Your nine-digit JSU Identification (ID) Number is located at the top of your acceptance letter. You will use this number to reference your personal student information when contacting offices on campus.

Log In to MyJSU

Your username and initial password are located at the bottom of your acceptance email. You will use this username and initial password to access your MyJSU account to view personal student information, view your financial aid information, and access many other options.

Log In to Your JSU Email Account (GEM)

Each student is assigned a JSU E-mail account upon admission. The E-mail address is located at the bottom of your acceptance letter.  Visit Office 365 to log in.  Please start checking your JSU E-mail account frequently as important information is communicated via this account.

Attend the Online Orientation for Adult Learners

We offer orientation sessions specially designed to help students get officially introduced to JSU and meet faculty, staff, and other Gamecocks.

Apply for Scholarships and Financial Aid

Be sure to take advantage of all the financial resources available to you. Our friendly staff in our Financial Aid Office are available to lend advice and answer any questions you may have about your financial needs.

Obtain Your Student ID

Visit our ID Office to learn more and obtain your Student ID.

Update Your Name and Personal Information

If you need to update your personal information you can access the forms on the registrar’s website. If you need to update your preferred name, use the preferred name form.

Schedule Your Classes

Check your acceptance email for info on how to connect with your academic advisor. Your advisor will help you create a plan of study and register for classes.

Set up Your Canvas Account

Set up your Canvas (online learning) account. Your courses should be available on your account on the first day of classes.

Fill Out Your Forms

If applicable, send an official, final transcript from your current college when your final grades are posted. Be sure to also complete your MedProctor forms.

Payment

Make sure your financial aid, payment, or payment plan is in place to cover your student account balance by the payment deadline.

Attending In-Person?

Order your parking pass through MyJSU and get your student ID on the fourth floor of the Theron Montgomery Building. We also offer a free shuttle system on campus.
