Considering majoring in MUSIC? Check out our PIANO music degrees: Piano Performance and Piano Music Education! More interested in Music Industry or General Music, but want to keep PIANO your primary instrument?

Come join us November 13 to experience a day in the life of a PIANO student! Students will attend music classes and applied lessons, interact with current piano students, and meet with Admissions Counselors, Advisors, and Music Faculty. Register for this event, using the Registration Form below. Walk-ins are WELCOME! Come have fun with us!

Schedule:

  • 8:30 AM - Check In (1st Floor Mason Hall Lobby, by the Student Lounge)
  • 9:15-9:45 AM - Music Theory
  • 9:45-10:45 AM - Observe Piano Lessons with Dr. Wendy Freeland (205)
  • 10:45-11:15 AM - Meet with Admissions and Advising
  • 11:15-11:45 AM - “What it means to be a piano student in college”
  • 11:45-12:45 PM - LUNCH with college piano students (Jax State Dining Hall)
  • 12:45-1:15 PM - Aural Skills
  • 1:15-1:45 PM – Observe Piano Lessons with Dr. Rachel Park (Room 204)
  • 2:00-3:00 PM - Meet with Music Faculty—Q&A (170)
  • 3:00-4:00 PM - A Cappella Choir (170)
  • 4:00 PM - Check out

All High School Students are invited to attend a performance of Opera Workshop Scenes that evening at 7:30 pm in the Mason Hall Recital Hall (3rd Floor Mason Hall, 350). This program will include scenes and songs from various operas and musical theatre works.
