A native of Williston, ND, Carl Anderson was professor of Clarinet at Jacksonville State University for 33 years, retiring in 1996. In 1998 he was names Professor Emeritus of Clarinet. Also in 1998 he was a featured performer at the international Clarinet Association 'CLARFEST' at The Ohio State University.
He was a member of the famed NORAD Command Concert Band playing concerts across the United States and Canada, including 2 performances at Carnegie Hall.
He currently holds the position of Principal Clarinet with the Gadsden Symphony Orchestra, the Cheaha Chamber Players, the Chamber Players of the South and the Seven Hills Opera Company. He was also the staff clarinetist at the Vermont Music and Arts Center for 16 years.
Mr. Anderson holds degrees in clarinet performance and woodwinds from Louisiana State University and has studied with Dominic DeCaprio, Paul Dirksmeyer, George Waln and Robert Marcellus.
