President's Faculty Fellow: Quality Teaching with AI

Faculty Commons and the Division of Academic Affairs invite faculty to engage in the Quality Teaching with AI Faculty Fellows Program. This initiative explores what quality teaching looks like in an age of artificial intelligence, encouraging thoughtful, innovative approaches to pedagogy.

The Faculty Fellows program will bring together faculty interested in developing strategies for effective AI pedagogy, exploring new models of instruction, and advancing strategic leadership in AI integration across the university.

Through workshops, discussions, and collaborative projects, participants will examine how AI can enrich teaching and support student learning. The program offers a space for faculty to experiment, share best practices, and shape the future of teaching with AI at Jacksonville State University.

  • Enhance Faculty Competence in AI Integration
  • Promote Critical Reflection on AI Use
  • Encourage Critical Thinking About Technology
  • Support Collaborative Learning Communities
  • Build Future-Ready Skills for Students

To be considered for selection as a spring cohort participant in the Presidential Faculty Fellow for Quality Teaching with AI track, applicants must:

  • Register for and complete the Teaching with AI course offered by Auburn University by November 21.
  • Attend at least two sessions from the Teaching with AI Canvas Course Discussion Series during Fall 2025.
Completion of these requirements ensures applicants are well-prepared to engage in AI pedagogy, strategic leadership, and the broader goals of the fellowship.
