OERS Certification Program: Fall 2025
Faculty Commons is excited to announce the OERS Certificate, an exciting, compensated initiative to support 18 faculty members in completing the new Open Educational Resources Specialist Certificate.
- Teach Faculty how to find, evaluate, and adopt OER
- Encourage OER integration
- Promote leadership in Open Education
What Do I Have to Do?
Faculty participants (18 total) will complete the following steps to receive compensation in the amount of $200 to be paid out in September 2025. Key deliverables include finishing Module 1 of the certificate by September 3, 2025
- Sign up for the program by August 25, 2025
- Complete OERS contract by September 1, 2025
- Complete Module 1 by September 3, 2025
- Complete the entire certificate by December 1, 2025
- Distribute 3 OER surveys to students
Why Should I Participate?
Participants of the OERS Certificate are directly contributing valuable insights into the impact of OER on learning at JSU.
Will There Be Support for Participants?
As part of this Faculty Commons Series, participants will receive a $200 stipend, a certificate, and a badge for their completion.
