Weekly COVID-19 Update-October 13, 2021
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
We are now midway through the fall semester and – thanks to your willingness to prioritize the health of your fellow Gamecocks by complying with our COVID-19 safety protocols – we have been able to avoid a major outbreak on campus so far. Please keep up the good work!
If you have completed your vaccine series (two shots of Moderna or Pfizer, one shot for Johnson & Johnson) don’t forget to apply for the $100 vaccine incentive. The deadline to upload your documentation is this Friday, Oct. 15.
During the Homecoming Cookout last Thursday, the following lucky winners were selected to receive the $1,000 vaccine incentive promoted earlier in the semester:
- Aimee Weathers, Faculty
- Jason Cole, Staff
- Julia Gipson, Student
- Leah Harris, Student
If you still need to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or the flu, please register for the Knock Out the Flu immunization clinic hosted by the College of Health Professions and Wellness on Tuesdays this month. Remaining appointment dates are Oct. 19 and Oct. 26, 1-4 p.m., in Leone Cole Auditorium. Registration is free and open to the public.
You are the key to helping us keep our campus safe. Thank you for all you've done and continue to do.
In Service,
Michael Barton
Director of Public Safety & COVID-19 Task Force Leader
