March 10, 2020
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
The JSU administration continues to monitor the world coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it develops and is working proactively and transparently to keep our campus safe.
At this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on JSU’s campus nor in the State of Alabama. Normal operations, including classes and events, continue as scheduled on campus. Any changes to operations, if needed, will be widely communicated.
To prevent the further spread of COVID-19, the university advises against any non-essential domestic travel. Effective immediately, faculty, staff and students planning to attend large conferences and meetings must get travel forms re-authorized. The international travel restrictions announced Feb. 25 remain in effect.
Again, JSU has no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on campus. The administration is diligently working to protect the JSU family and prepare for any potential issues that may arise.
Thank you,
Dr. Don Killingsworth, Jr.
Acting President
