J.J. Hicks

J.J. Hicks brings a deep background journalism to his teaching. For nearly two decades, he worked as a dedicated writer for The Gadsden Times newspaper, serving from 2003 until 2022. For 17 of those years, he focused on his passion as a sports writer, a role in which he occasionally covered JSU football games.

He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degree from Jacksonville State University. A native of Gadsden, Alabama, J.J. currently resides in Rainbow City.
