Brianna Roberts
Brianna Roberts graduated from Jacksonville State University in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Accounting. While at JSU, she served in various leadership roles including the President of JSU’s Petitioning Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi. She was also a member of the Student Accounting Association and various other student organizations. While at JSU, Brianna completed an internship with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in the summer of 2015 and was subsequently offered a full-time position which she accepted. She began working full-time with the FDIC after graduation. Brianna’s experience with the FDIC was a very positive one. She said that "working with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has allowed me to use my accounting degree in a different way than most accounting students. I was able to gain a tremendous understanding of the banking industry and how bank examinations operate. I travelled to different banks, worked with an examination team, as well as interacted with Board of Directors. If there are any students who want work-life balance, great pay, and a simulating job, the FDIC is the place for them."
