SGA Spring Concert: Waka Flocka Flame

The Student Government Association is excited to present Waka Flocka Flame at the spring concert on April 8th, 2025, at 6:00 pm in Pete Mathews Coliseum! This event is sure to be an unforgettable experience. To help you plan, we have provided the answers to some frequently asked questions. Please refer to the FAQs below for more details: 

General Information: 

Where is the concert located? 

The concert will be held in the Pete Mathews Coliseum. 

What time does the concert start? 

Doors open at 6:00pm. The concert will begin at approx. 7:15pm. 

How long will the concert last? 

The concert will end around 9:30pm. 

Is there an opening act? 

Yes, DJ Kevin Le will begin his set at approx. 7:15pm. Kevin is a Jax State student!  

Is there parking available? 

Yes, there is on-campus parking available at the coliseum. Parking is free and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

 

Tickets and Admission: 

Who can get tickets? 

Tickets are only available for enrolled JSU students and current faculty/staff. No outside attendance is permitted.  

How do I get tickets? 

Tickets can be reserved through Campus Groups. You will need a copy of your ticket and a valid, current student ID for entry. 

Can I get tickets at the door? 

No, students will be expected to have tickets present as well as their student ID when arriving at the venue. 

Do I need to bring my ticket printed? 

You can bring either a printed ticket or an electronic ticket on your phone. 

 

Security: 

Will there be security checks? 

Yes, all attendees will go through security checks upon entering the Coliseum. Please be prepared for bag checks and metal detector screenings, as required by the artist’s contract. 

Is there a clear bag policy? 

Pete Mathews Coliseum abides by a strict clear bag policy that will be followed throughout the event. We advise bringing minimal items to prevent having to carry your things.  Items such as bags, large backpacks, and professional cameras with detachable lenses are prohibited for security reasons. What items are prohibited? 

All attendees will walk through a metal detector upon entry. Jax State is a weapons free campus. Drugs are not permitted on campus. Alcohol will not be permitted in the venue. 

Can I leave the venue and re-enter? 

Re-entry is not allowed.  

Is smoking/vaping allowed? 

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the coliseum. Anyone who violates university policy will be told to leave.  

 

Concert Experience: 

Can I bring food or drinks to the concert? 

Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the Coliseum. However, there will be limited concessions available for purchase before and during the event. 

Will there be seating, or is it standing room only? 

The event will have seating and standing arrangements. Your ticket will specify where you will be located during the concert. 

What can I bring to the concert? 

ALL attendees must have their current student ID and a digital or printed copy of their registered ticket.

Yes, the Coliseum is fully accessible, including accessible seating and accessible restrooms.

Yes, there are designated accessible parking spaces near the entrance.
