Frequently Asked Questions
All student events are free to JSU students who show their JSU Student ID
No. All student events hosted by the SGA and the Dean of Students Office are for ALL students and for the purpose of encouraging involvement and fostering a sense of belonging on campus for all students.
All students are encouraged to attend J-Week events. They are a great way to become acclimated to JSU’s campus, meet new people, and start your college experience off right.
Although there is no penalty for missing J-Week events, they are created to help new and current students take full advantage of their college experience. If you miss J-Week there will be plenty of other events to attend as well.
Although some J-Week activities may conflict with other activities there will be some that do not. We encourage students to participate in as many J-Week events as they can.
Absolutely. We want ALL students to have the full college experience at JSU and encourage students who live both on and off campus to attend as many events as they can.
J-Week is hosted by the Dean of Students Office in room 402 of the Theron Montgomery Building (TMB). The office number is 256-782-5491. If you would prefer email, then contact Cody Beck at Cbeck@jsu.edu.
