David Nast (class of 1982) is the CEO and founder of Progress Bank in Huntsville, Alabama. As a graduating member of the class of 1982, Nast reflects on his experiences of leaving his small town to attend Jacksonville State University. He speaks on how JSU simultaneously shaped the professional and personal aspects of his life, as well as led him to the career path he is in now.
Nast expresses the interconnectedness that he feels JSU possesses not just within the campus, but outside of the campus as well. He shares that JSU is special in that the community is able to truly appreciate the value of camaraderie.
Nast also encourages students to make the most out of their college experience, but emphasizes the importance of putting academics first, studying hard, and dreaming big for their future careers.
