Courtney Peppers is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), International Behavior Analyst, and a Licensed Behavior Analyst. She is currently a faculty member in the Psychology Department at Jacksonville State University. For over 15 years, she was the Director of Learning Services at Jacksonville State University, where she led a centralized developmental education unit that offered courses in math, reading, writing, and academic support. The department implemented individualized instruction, tutoring, and learning support, all based on the principles of Precision Teaching. Since becoming a BCBA, Ms. Peppers has supervised numerous graduate students’ Independent Supervised Fieldwork, emphasizing the importance of standard measurement and use of the Standard Celeration chart. Her research activity has included adapting behavioral teaching technologies/Precision Teaching to the college classroom, best practices in college math and English placement, and behavioral approaches to increasing attendance and engagement in the college classroom. Her teaching experience includes designing and directing first-year experience courses and academic success skills courses for entering freshmen, teaching introduction to psychology, human development, psychology topics, ethics in behavior analysis, and ABA systems and support.
