William Ronald Smith

Ronnie SmithRonnie Smith is the Chairman of the Board of Noble Bank & Trust. He is retired Vice President of Alabama Power Company.  He began working for the company in 1973, working in various locations before moving to Anniston in 1988 as the Division Manager.  He was promoted to Eastern Division Vice President in 1993.  

Smith is immediate Past President of the Anniston Museum Endowment Board and past chairman of the McClellan Development Authority, which he chaired for four years.

Smith’s involvement in the community also includes serving as past chairman of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, past United Way Campaign Chairman, member of the Forward Calhoun County Development Council and the Economic Development Consortium. 

A graduate of Auburn University, he also attended the Emory University Business School in 1994 and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University Graduate School of Business in 1996. 

He and his wife, Betsy, have three children and seven grandchildren. He attends First United Methodist Church of Oxford where he teaches Sunday school.
