Jack Hopper Dining Hall Closing on July 22

07/15/2024

With campus gearing up for the opening of its new Dining Hall, the 62-year old Jack Hopper Dining Hall will serve its last customer on Monday, July 22 when it closes at 6 p.m. The closure at this time will allow the necessary transition for the new state-of-the-art Dining Hall to begin serving the campus community on Tuesday, July 23 at 7 a.m.

Located next to Curtiss Hall, the new facility includes a larger dining space, an executive dining room and administrative offices. It features a traditional food line with several concept stations and a full preparation kitchen located in the back of the house. The modern seating environment provides students a welcoming space to connect over a meal.

Faculty and staff wishing to utilize the new facility and its many offerings will be able to prepurchase meals online through the Jax State website via desktop or mobile device.

A university committee is working diligently to finalize repurposing plans for the Jack Hopper Dining Hall to ensure its legacy of continuing to serve Jax State students.

An official grand opening and Open House for the new Dining Hall will be held in August. Details coming soon.
