Jax State To Close On Wednesday, June 19 In Observance of Juneteenth

Jax State will close on Wednesday, June 19, for Juneteenth.

Jacksonville State University (Jax State) will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. All offices on campus, including the Rec Center, Houston Cole Library, the Bookstore and Campus Dining will resume normal business hours on Thursday, June 20.

The RMC/Jax State Health Center will maintain normal hours of operation on Wednesday, accepting walk-ins from 8 am – 11 am and appointments from 1 pm – 4 pm. The University Police Department will remain open to keep campus safe and secure. Those experiencing a mental health emergency can contact the UPD at 256-782-5050 to be connected with an on-call counselor.
