iPods, Book Certificates, Jump Drives Given Away

One hundred eleven JSU students were selected in a random drawing last week because of their participation in IDEA, a campus-wide online course evaluation system.

Forty one percent of the students enrolled in spring 2009 classes completed 9,885 course evaluation forms. From April 8 through April 21, students were given ample opportunities to participate either through email invitations or course URLs.

To boost response to the online course evaluation, students completing course evaluations were entered in a drawing. The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment announced that it would draw from the pool of participants to give away five iPod Shuffles, six JSU Bookstore gift certificates, and 100 JSU jump drives.

The drawings were held on Friday, April 24, and the winners of the iPod Shuffles and gift certificates, all donated by the Office of the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, were: Samuel Cook, Shawndrika Cook, Heather Minor, Jordan Turner, Kendal Warren, Tamekia Hood, Mickey Jones, Fatima Maze, Jennifer Morris, Rachel Sherrod, and David Watson.
