Mr. Beason grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama, and currently resides there with his wife, Kristy, their daughter, Sydney, and their son, Landon. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, taking their dog for walks, hunting, and fishing.

Mr. Beason teaches graduate courses in the Master's in Athletic Training Program:

Education

Randy earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Gadsden State Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training with a minor in Physical Education from the University of West Alabama, and a Master of Arts in General Studies from Jacksonville State University. He also earned his Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certification through East Alabama Medical Center/EMS. Mr. Beason has over 30 years of experience as a certified athletic trainer and an emergency medicine technician.

His academic and research interests include:

  • Emergency management and trauma in sports medicine
  • Ergonomics and rehabilitation of industrial patients
  • Development and implementation of emergency action plans
