ID Cards
All students, faculty and staff are required to have a Jax State Identification Card known as a JCard. The JCard system will be used for housing access, dining, JaxCash, Cocky Bucks, vending, bookstore and athletic event admissions. You can use your JCard as a “tap to pay” payment option, allowing for quick and easy purchases. Manage your JCard through the portal located on your MyJaxState account.
- If you are having issues with your housing access, please contact Housing and Residence Life at housing@jsu.edu or 256-782-5122
- For issues with your meal plan, flex dollars, JaxCash or CockyBucks, contact Dining Services at 256-782-7242.
- For support with your online portal, email JSU IT:
- Students - studentsupport@jsu.edu
- Faculty and Staff – techsupport@jsu.edu
The ID office will be available in Leone Cole Auditorium during all orientations sessions. You will be able to obtain your student ID card during your assigned orientation day.
We recommend submitting your photo ahead of time for your ID to be printed.
Please visit the JSU ID Card Management Portal to submit a photo for your ID. This will need to be done the day before you come to pick up your card. This will allow enough time to print the card and have it ready.
Here are some guidelines for the picture and an example featuring Cocky:
Guidelines:
- Photo must be a color photo. No black and white
- No filters
- Must be taken against a plain, lighter color background
