Focus on fostering craft and developing your skills in the genres of storyboarding for game development, play & screen writing, poetry, and fiction through workshops, lectures, and readings.

Choral for Musical Theatre

June 8-12, 8 AM-12 Noon
This camp will focus on the importance of blending voices in musical theatre ensembles, sprinkled with some acting, blocking, choreography, and skills and tools.

June 22-26, 8 AM-2 PM
Students will learn the principles of art & design by exploring their creative range through printmaking, collage, digital illustration, collaboration, and more!

July 6-10, 8 AM-12 Noon

This year, students will take concepts, characters and stories created during creative writing and illustrations generated during Visual Art to program and develop prototyping, including sound, animation, artificial intelligence, physics, and game controller input.

Ages 11-18
July 13-17, 8 AM-12 Noon

This year, students will take inspiration from a script developed in creative writing and bring it to life utilizing their phone and tools they have at home to develop an understanding of the art of film, learning to operate cameras, how lighting and color play a part, and how editing makes it all work together.

What is GASP?

The Gamecock Arts & Sciences Programs (GASP) are an opportunity for community members to experience college-level art and performance activities. This program is geared towards talented youth and life long learners who are serious about furthering their Arts, Humanities, and Sciences Education. The classes and workshops will be taught by faculty, staff, and students of College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences and community partners.
