Mark Osburn

Mark Osburn is a Forensic Science Specialist for the Center for Applied Forensics at Jacksonville State University. He has been employed with Jacksonville State University since 2022. Prior to his employment at JSU, he was employed at Anniston Police Department where he worked for 13 years as a crime scene investigator. After retiring in 2014. Mr. Osburn worked for the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office for eight years as a crime scene investigator. Mr. Osburn has over 21 years of crime scene investigation and specializes in latent print processing / analysis.

Mr. Osburn received a B.S. degree in Forensic Investigation from Jacksonville State University in 1992.  He is a Certified Law Enforcement Officer though the Alabama Peace Officers Standards & Training Commission, and a longtime member of the International Association for Identification.
